Corrections Policy
We publish about a complicated, changing industry — errors will happen, and this is how we handle them.
Reporting an Error
Found something wrong — a factual error, an outdated rule, a broken source link, a claim that doesn’t hold up? Email info@texasmedicalbillingcompany.com with the page address and the issue. Reports from readers, competitors, payers, and critics are all welcome; being correctable is part of being credible.
How We Respond
- Acknowledgment: correction reports receive a reply confirming receipt and review.
- Verification: we check the claim against current official sources.
- Correction: confirmed errors are fixed promptly; affected guide pages get updated review dates.
- Material errors: where an error was substantive enough to mislead decisions (not a typo), the corrected page notes the correction.
- Systemic fixes: errors that reveal process gaps trigger review of related content and, where needed, changes to our review process.
What Isn’t a Correction
Differences of professional opinion, disagreements with our disclosed perspective as a billing company, and requests to soften accurate statements are engaged honestly but handled as feedback rather than corrections. Rules that changed after our stated review date are updates, not errors — though we appreciate the prompt to update.
Time-Sensitivity Reminder
Even corrected content ages: coding rules update annually, payer policies shift constantly, and regulations evolve. Review dates tell you when content was last verified; official sources tell you what is true today.
