Editorial Standards
Content Review Process
How content gets checked before and after publication — including the topics that require professional review.
Pre-Publication Review
Every page passes editorial review against our editorial policy before publication: claims checked against the honesty rules, industry figures verified as attributable to published references, disclaimers present where topics require them, and internal links reviewed for accuracy. Automated build-time checks enforce the mechanical layer — metadata completeness, duplicate titles, and required disclaimers on payer and software content.
Flagged-Topic Professional Review
Content touching the following topics carries an internal review flag requiring qualified-professional review before final publication approval: HIPAA and security claims, pricing statements, coding guidance, Medicare and Medicaid specifics, payer policies, legal and contract topics, Business Associate Agreements, offshore staffing disclosures, claims appeals procedures, timely filing rules, reimbursement statements, patient billing, and debt collection practices. Flags are visible in our development environment and tracked to resolution.
Fact-Checking Practice
- Regulatory statements traced to official sources (CMS, TMHP, TDI, federal rules) at writing
- Payer descriptions checked against the payer’s own published provider materials
- Industry ranges attributed as observations, with hedged language matching evidence strength
- City and market facts limited to well-established, verifiable information
Post-Publication Review
Guides carry published and reviewed dates; material rule changes (annual code updates, payer policy shifts, regulation changes) trigger content review of affected pages. Reader-reported issues follow the corrections policy. Educational content about a changing industry is never “done” — the review process is a cycle, not a gate.
Reviewer Profiles
Named reviewer credentials will appear on content as real, consenting professionals join the review process. We do not publish invented reviewer identities; until individual profiles exist, review is performed under the company editorial process described here.
